(P) Prompts

Pick a prompt and write at least 150 words from it in the comments. And go….

  • Then he turned, his ears flattening back and the hair standing up on end. The words that came out of his mouth, however, were what really set it in stone…
  • The footprints washed away in the sand, water pulling the particles out to sea…
  • I pulled the lid closed, giggling as the hinge creaked into the otherwise silent night.

I thought it would be a great practical joke to jump out as people walked by, never suspecting what was in store. I didn’t hear whoever it was who approached, but I did hear the click of the lock as the bin I was in was sealed. I called out. I hit the lid as hard as I could many times, but no one answered. My cell phone was at home and even if I had it, I wouldn’t know who to call. Then there was movement. I was being transported somewhere. It was no longer a silent night.
It seemed like hours had passed on the road I was taken on. I could feel every turn, every bump in the road, until all was quiet again. I waited for someone to open the bin. But no one came. Then I heard the click of the lock and I could open the lid again. It was as dark outside as it had been in the closed bin. I waited for my eyes to adjust, but nothing changed. The only sound I could hear was the beating of my own heart. I was alone, in an unknown place, with no means of communication; I was afraid.

(you never said I had to complete whatever it was I wrote)
